ROSE CATCH HAS BAND BITING DUST
SENIOR Upper Loddon cricket returned last Saturday after the Christmas-New break, with parched ovals confronting the players following days of extreme heat.

Ladder leaders Boort Yando fell to a shock defeat at home against Arnold Redbacks, while Kingower was too strong for a depleted Wedderburn Band team and the Gowers’ Ben Rose among the key players with bat and bowl along with this spectacular field catch.
With just four rounds remaining, the race for a top four spot is on in earnest.
The Redbacks win lifted them ahead of Bridgewater Bulls into fourth place, with Bridgey having the bye.
Boort Yando and Kingower seem assured of finals places, with the other three teams battling for two spots.
This week’s final T20 round will decide the teams for the grand final on January 24, played for the Loddon Herald Cup.
