Roads re-open, closed; no trains

Coaches are replacing trains on theSwan Hill Linefor the entire journeybetween Bendigo and Swan Hill/Eaglehawk. Coaches will take a diverted route between Bendigo and Swan Hill which will add approximately 40 minutes to the journey time. Raywood, Dingee, Pyramid and Kerang will not be serviced by these Swan Hill coaches. Coaches are running between Eaglehawk and Bendigo in place of local train services.

Department of Transport yesterday provided an update on road closures in regional Victoria.

A number of Loddon roads are now open.

Major road closures include:

  • Barmah-Shepparton Road between Bunbartha and Shepparton

  • Murray Valley Highway in many locations between Nathalia and Wyuna

  • Roads in and around Nathalia including Katamatite-Nathalia Road between Waaia and Nathalia, Lancaster Avenue and Nathalia-Waaia Road.

  • Many roads in and out of Kerang including the Murray Valley Highway from Kerang to Lake Charm, Kerang-Murrabit Road, Old Echuca Road from Tragowel to Kerang, Kerang-Koondrook Road, Kerang-Quambatook Road, Leitchville-Kerang Road and Koroop Road from Kerang to Koroop.

  • Bogong High Plains Road between Mount Beauty and Falls Creek

  • Recent road re-openings include:

  • Charlton Road between St Arnaud and Charlton

  • Melba Highway, Yarra Glen

  • B Road, Orbost

  • Boort-Fernihurst Road, Boort

  • Boort-Yando Road, Boort

  • Benambra-Corryong Road between the Murray Valley Highway and Staceys Bridge

  • Hallam South Road, Hallam

  • Bridgewater-Raywood Road, Raywood

  • Boort-Wycheproof Road, Wycheproof
