THE fundraising for local communities by Rheola Charity Carnival has been labelled simply amazing.
Inglewood and Districts Health Service CEO Dallas Coghill praised the 150-year-old event when receiving a cheque for $20,000 this week from former president Peter Mason.
“The carnival has been an amazing supporter of the hospital and health service and to share in the record amount raised this year continues a wonderful tradition,” he said.
The donation will be used to purchase specialist patient lifting equipment.
Donations from the sesquicentenary event will also be made to Maryborough Health’s Dunolly campus and Rheola’s hall and reserve committees.
Mr Mason said plans were advanced for Easter’s 151st carnival led by new president Matt Catto.
