FENTONS Creek have overcome rain and Serpentine to win this season’s Inglewood and District Lawn Tennis Association flag.

The win on Saturday saw opponents Serpentine again denied their first flag since 1961, going down 159 games to 131.

Despite increasing rain throughout the afternoon, play continued with Fentons Creek (left) retaining their champion status when captain Sarah Turnbull received the trophy from association officials Deirdre Bouwmeester and Robert Senior.
