THE Boort community is smashing targets in the Push-Up Challenge raising awareness for mental health.

At the mid-way point of the 24-day challenge involving more than 80 locals, a total of 48,736 push-ups have been completed.

And organiser Sherryn O’Flaherty said participants were well on the way to meeting the revised fundraising target of $5000 with more than of $2825 already donated,

Among those taking part in the challenge is Boort District School’s Year 7 home group.

Teacher Sharon Pickering. said: “I thought the challenge would be a great way for a home group to bond, while learning about and raising money for a worthy cause.
