BOORT croquet player Ian Potter has been named April’s Loddon Herald Sports Star of the Month.
Potter won the Murray Valley region Level 1 championship and earned a place at the state golf croquet championships.
He joins other monthly winners to be in the running for the inaugural Loddon Herald Sports Star of the Year to be announced last this year.
Other monthly winners so far are October John Coffey (woodchopping), November Judd Chislett (motorcross racing), December Allira James (cricket), January Carly Isaac (marathon), February Harry Malone (cricket) and March Heath Lock (cricket).
Nominations for the monthly award are taken from articles published in the Loddon Herald.
The sports star dinner will be held in October.
