Pool wait for Pyramid

Pyramid Hill swimming will not open this weekend as Loddon Shire crews race to fix a "leak issue"

Loddon Shire said this afternoon: "All going well, the senior pool at Pyramid Hill will re-open the following Saturday, 22 November, though the junior pools might be closed for a little bit longer. We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience as we work to resolve the issue."

Council has an external manager of its five pools but is responsible for maintenance.

Councillors have raised concerns about the long-term future of swimming pools in the Loddon Shire.

They are more than 60 years old and pools at Mitiamo and Pyramid Hill have been plagued with equipment breakdowns over the past four years.

Other swimming pools will open for the summer season on Saturday
