POLICE were this evening still searching for one person after a two-car crash on the outskirts of Serpentine today.
The smash happened on the Loddon Valley Highway about 2.30pm. Witnesses described a loud bang when the crash happened.
It is believed three occupants of one vehicle fled into nearby paddocks. Two have since been detained by police after a search of the area that included the police air wing.
An ambulance arrived at the scene about 6.30pm.
Occupants of the other vehicle, believed to have been travelling north on holidays, were treated at the scene by paramedics.
Only only lane of the Loddon Valley Highway was open to traffic earlier tonight as police investigate the crash. More than half a dozen police vehicles remain on the scene.
A police statement is expected later.
