Police and highway patrol vehicles are maintinaing highly visible across the Loddon on the second day of Operation Regal - the Queen's Birthday weekend road safety blitz.

Acting Sgt Mick Balazs said: "We are targeting speeding and impaired drivers – you should expect to be tested for drugs and alcohol.

"Distraction and fatigue will also be a focus, as it continues to be a factor in fatal and serious injury collisions." Sgt Balazs said it was also a good time to check those tyres and brakes to ensure they are in good order. If hooking up that van, check those tyres and brakes as well
