Pyramid Hill is without power this morning after a fire in a Kelly Street power pole. Several other northern Loddon communities are also "in the dark"
An estimated 600 properties in Pyramid Hill, Mincha, Mologa, Jarklin, Dingee, Calivil, Yarrwalla, Loddon Vale, Terrick Terrick, Prairie and Mitiamo districts have been without electricity since about 8am with Powecor saying suppy is expected to be reconnected by midday.
Pyramid Hillsupermarket owner Mandeep Singh has said the doors to his business will be closed until power supply resumes.
Coliban Water sayscustomers in Mitiamo, Dingee and Jarklinmay be experiencing changes to your water pressure or interruptions to your non-potable water supply.
The power outage has impacted Pyramid Hill'swater treatment plant.
"While we don’t expect your water supply will be interrupted, you may experience a change in your water pressure.. Your water remains safe to drink," according to Coliban.
It is the second power pole fire in the district in 24 hours.
Fire brigades were called to a pole fire in Calivil on Sunday morning.
