PREPARATION of long-term financial plans for Loddon Shire was not an exact science, Cr Gavan Holt told last week’s council meeting.

Cr Holt said council was required to prepare the 10-year financial plan but there were assumptions that had to be made, including the level of State Government-imposed rate caps.

However, Cr Holt said he was a supporter of shorter-term plans for council finances. “They are nearer to reality,” Cr Holt said.

Council did not receive any public submissions on the draft 2022-2032 financial plan.
