INGLEWWOOD’S biggest town event is back this Sunday. The Inglewood Alive Festival will bring the town alive with market stalls, family-friendly activities, and entertainment for all ages.

INGLEWWOOD’S biggest town event is back this Sunday. The Inglewood Alive Festival will bring the town alive with market stalls, family-friendly activities, and entertainment for all ages.

The event will feature a Show n Shine, run by the Inglewood Car and Bike Club with raffle prizes up for grabs for anyone attending. The Rheola Fire Brigade Juniors will be running demonstrations during the day.

The Wimmera Axeman’s Association will be hosting woodchopping competitions and a variety of vendors will be running market stalls around the town hall area.

The event has been co-ordinated by the Inglewood Development and Tourism Committee with support from local businesses.

Loddon Shire Council approved applications for an event promotion grant and a Welcome to Country grant, while the Inglewood and District Community Bank is also backing the event with Community Enterprise Foundation funds towards free children’s activities.

As part of the festival temporary street closures will be in place from 8:30am until 4:30pm on Sunday in Inglewood. Verdon Street from Market Street to Grant Street North; Storm Lane from Market Place to Verdon Street; and Calder Highway (Brooke Street) from Tarnagulla Road to Houston Street.
