TWO FORMER premiership players have rejoined Marong as the Panthers load up for an assault on four Loddon Valley football flags in a row.
Key defender Nathan Walsh, who played in the 2022 and 2023 senior premierships, returns after missing a year while studying for a master’s degree. Patrick Gretgrix played in Marong’s 2022 and 2023 reserves premierships before departing for Harcourt in the Maryborough Castlemaine District league last season, where his team made the preliminary final. Gretgrix won the club’s Herrick Award in 2023.
