BRADLEY of Boort has given the Velvet touch to his Treemendous Sign this week - the soap variety of course. He’s sure to be cleansing the face of theatrical paint after a stunning stage appearance in Mysia at the weekend starring in The Traveller’s Table.
THERE was quite a few travellers at Inglewood on Sunday for the big bowls day. Without trivialising the fantastic spread dotted around the refreshment tables at lunchtime, for some (or one) reason the trifles disappeared faster than mis-bowled kitty reaching the ditch. Turns out one culprit monopolised the trifle bowls - and we’re talking bowls not plates - so such an extent that his afternoon efforts on the green were even more tardy than the morning. And the front of his polo shirt in the red and white livery had so many stains from the trifle that it’ll take a few cakes of Velvet soap to get clean.
THERE was also the big kick-off for Inglewood footballers on Sunday. A couple of the players were in early training ... spotting the Loddon Herald camera as they jogged past with ball in hand. Jack was one who could have one eye on the ball and the other on the camera this season.
FOOTBALLERS are not the only ones having a run in the park at moment. A few cattle wandered to Judkin Park in Serpentine the other day, grazing on the lush green grass before they were herded back to fodder of a browner variety and away from the Loddon Highway.
