WE’VE been spoilt for choice this week with Bradley of Boort changing signs faster than a new pot hole emerging on the Calder and Loddon Valley Highways. Guess the one we have selected to be featured could be an ironic take on the state’s finances that we’re told are not looking too good.

PERHAPS leaders, current and wannabees, could take a literal leaf out of one Loddon farmer. Recently made purchase of land, had a look at a the little grove of olive trees, picked them and made up 60 litres of oil. Could it be his nickname will now be Popeye and the good wife Olive Oil?

POPPED over to East Loddon P12 last week to help judge the public speaking competition. Mighty impressed with the snacks on the judging table - Tim Tams representing the Southern Hemisphere and McVities choc topped digestives from the Northern Hemisphere. Both favourites!
