WHAT’S the difference between lawn bowlers and golfers? In this modern day blurring of some sporting seasons, OTF reckons we’ve got this conundrum solved. The rain on Sunday saw one Loddon golf club pull the pin, another played a day earlier. Ask any lawn bowler, and they will tell you the game goes on and not to worry about a few spots.

WHILE we’re transplanting timings, a zoo in Florida has two reasons to celebrate with the first birth of an Australia koala and a newly renovated habitat for the cuddly creatures. “For the zoo and for us here, it’s the very big deal,” said Amarylis Celestina, who oversees carnivores and koalas at the Palm Beach Zoo and Conservation Society in West Palm Beach, Florida. “We are trying the best that we can to help with a lot of the genetic diversity within the population that we have here in the United States. So that’s why it’s important that we do have a joey and that we were successful this year.”
