SHOUT out to the Easter Bunny, now back down his hole resting after a busy couple of days. He popped up with an unbelievssssssssssable dancing routine when arriving at St Mary’s Primary School in Inglewood and we think that by the time he arrived at Coffee on Loddon in Bridgewater at the weekend, the dance moves were really in the groove.

WE must also say well done to the CFA volunteers out collecting on Good Friday. There was, of course, that tradition of jumping the gun on consuming Easter eggs. Old traditionalist OTF has seen the chocolate treats consumed on the Friday for years. But did you know? Easter eggs were traditionally eaten on Easter Sunday to mark the end of the 40-day fasting period of Lent.

BIT like fish and chips. The Good Friday traditional meal is all about abstaining from meat. As we know, fish over the centuries as become the Friday night meal of choice.

DID you notice how few of the little eggs were in the packets this year? OTF did the maths and worked out there was a bigger fix buying a block of chocolate.

CHOICE magazine said that For the second Easter in a row, Cadbury’s largest box of hollow chocolate eggs designed for Easter hunts became not only smaller but more expensive too, costing a whopping 73 per cent more per 100 grams than it did in 2024. The 15-egg box on sale for $15 at some retailers replaced an 18-egg box that sold for $13.50 last year.
