Over the Fence

A festive edition of Over the Fence

WHOSE made Santa’s good and naughty lists this Christmas? We hear that children are well to the fore on the record of those likely to receive a special delivery on Christmas Eve. But what about OTF and the Loddon Herald? Santa had a few stern words with us the other night. He had picked up his photo was yet to appear on the front page this festive season. Hey Santa, hope we’re back in your good books with today’s edition.

WE’RE pretty sure it was one of Santa’s apprentices who popped along to the Boort Yando cricket Christmas barbie last week. Wearing an inflatable suit, the Santa-in-training must have floated over from the lake. And being another warm day, he was probably more than like a marshmellow after dispensing cheer.

TRAVEL plans are usually put in place around Christmas, either those for the festive period or a bit further ahead in the new year. Like one Loddon couple - they’re heading into Tuscany and then, their words not ours, tripping over to Sardinia “to unwind on the beach”.

WE looked up a few names on the North Pole Government Department of Christmas Affairs website to see who was on the naughty and nice lists. Not a good year for elected officials in Loddon - councillors haven’t made the pressie cut. On the political front, Premier Jacinta Allan is on the North Pole Government’s “nice list”

LIKE all governments, North Pole has policies. Its Christmas experience policy promotes safety, respect and good humour, the policy helps global public sector organisations celebrate responsibly and covers everything from trees and tinsel to gifts and Santa hats.
