EXTENSIVE COVERAGE IN THIS WEEK'S LODDON HERALD OF LOCAL AUSTRALIA DAY CELEBRATIONS

MORE than 150 people were at Serpentine’s TJ Rudkins Reserve for breakfast cooked by the East Loddon Lions Club.

Youngsters were running with Australian flag pennants fluttering in the breeze while their parents queued for a famous Lions sausage and Trevor and Caity Sleeman performed songs as the crowd grew.

Organisers were delighted with the large crowd as the town this year took its turn to host the area’s Australia Day cele-brations.

Loddon Mayor Dan Straub presented Bridget Baker with her Young Citizen of the Year award during the formal cere-mony.
