Opportunity knocks for volunteers
PEPPERCORN Op-shop wants more volunteers to maintain opening hours at the Wedderburn store.

Run by Wedderburn Community House, the oP-shop team hopes to recruit more helpers to assist for a couple of hours a week.
“You can volunteer on your own, with a friend, or even as a small group. You’re also welcome to give it a trial run to see if it’s a good fit,” said house co-ordinator Louise Cook.
“Peppercorn Op-shop is a way for the community to recycle and rehome goods, reducing the demand on landfill. The money from gooods sold in the shop stays in the community.
“None of this would be possible without our incredible volunteers, who generously give their time to keep the shop open, organised, and welcoming,” she said. “Right now, we are short on volunteers due to illness and people moving away. If you value having an op shop in our town, we need new volunteers as soon as possible.”
Louise said that without more volunteers, shop hours might need to be reduced.
