REDUCING part of Verdon Street to oneway traffic is among proposals being
considered by Inglewood Development and Tourism as it reviews a six-year-old
streetscape development plan.
The committee was footing the plan review cost and wanted to “keep Inglewood
looking like Inglewood, an old-fashioned goldmining town”, said secretary Pauline
Wellman.
Pauline said making Verdon Street oneway, between Brooke and Grant Streets,
would address local traffic management concerns.
“Vehicles turning into Brooke Street from Grant Street have to nose out onto
the Calder Highway to see other vehicles,” she said.
