EAST LODDON P12 College Year 11 students started the school year with a drive.
After just one day in the classroom they hit the road and travelled to Charlton.
Students attended a two-day intensive driver education course at the Charlton Traffic Safety Education Centre.
Senior sub-school leader Sarah Krahe said: “It was fantastic, to see the positive progress in their knowledge, skills and confidence in just two days is priceless.
“This camp typically takes place in Year 10, however, due to circumstances out of our control we had to switch the program to our first week back.
“Students covered a whole range of topics from starting the vehicle, moving off safely, reversing, U turns, angle parking, hill starts, parallel parks, three-point turns, lane position and over taking. It is an excellent program that we are so fortunate to participate in.”
Molly Bolwell, one of the students in Year 11 this year, said after completing the course: “Drivers Ed was a good educational experience where we were able to learn from our mistakes in a safe way.” EAST LODDON P12 College Year 11 students started the school year with a drive.
