OTF - looking at local funnies
1 min read

HE’S nailed it - Bradley of Boort needed few words, and letters for that matter, to spell out his commentary on events of the past week in local communities. Yep, the phones have been out of order, the electricity lines had their biggest blinking nap in history (and memory too) and the strength of water supply in some areas has been just a tad on the side of being unknown at times.
OTF hasn’t gone much for this Taylor Swift stuff. Apparently she raked in a fair bid of dosh in front of a microphone in Melbourne  at the weekend (have been reports of desperate Loddon fans dropping tears at unable to get a ticket). One chap, sharing the musical appreciation with OTF for the singer that call Tay Tay, looked at how much she raked in. He reckons a donation of 10 per cent of the estimated $1 billion would go a good way to helping the Government fix our local roads.
EVEN bigger question about Tay Tay is where will she sit in 50 years’ time? Will her music knock off The Beatles, or Elvis or Sir Elton John? Or will the big names of entertainment be created through Artificial Intelligence?
ACCORDING to one site on AI, machines have been proving themselves as good as or even superior to people with certain tasks: they are already better in Go, Chess, and even Dota 2. Algorithms compose music and write poetry. Scientists and entrepreneurs estimate that artificial intelligence will greatly surpass human beings in the future. But using AI for funny stories and jokes? Apparently that’s still a bit hard. Means Bradley and OTF are still in a job!
