Everyone’s laughing at Friday fun session
1 min read

FRIDAY pub banter had even more laughs than usual at the Wedderburn Hotel when four comedians took to the dining room stage.
The night of comedy was booked by publican Craig Fuller after a pit-stop by the quartet after a gig in Mildura.
For one of the comedians, Jim Hallawell, Friday’s performance was also a chance to catch up with friend Harry Hargreaves.
“We stopped here on the way back from Mildura a few months ago, spoke with Craig and he booked us. We knew if nothing else, Harry would turn up,” said Jim.
He said performing in country pubs was “a lot better for us comedians than in Melbourne”.
“People come for the fun ... anyone over 18 ... everyone needs a good laugh,” Jim said.
Jim and fellow comedians Shain Rosaia, Joshia Wolsley and Tait Middleton have been cutting their comedy teeth mostly in Bendigo.
“Shaun is the real creator of the show. We’ve mostly been doing Bendigo but wanted to start venturing out,” he said.
The stand-up comedians put smiles on the faces of more than 40 people for the Wedderburn Hotel’s first comedy session.
Some came from Bendigo and Melbourne, sitting in a dining room of new fans aged from 18 into their 80s.
