MP wants to be ‘good witch’

One tried to don a witch’s hat but was quickly told to remove it as organisers tried to avoid being linked to controversial “Ditch the Witch” protests in Melbourne against Premier Jacinta Allan that have been condemned by Labor and the Opposition.
But that did not stop One Nation MP for Northern Victoria Region Rickie-Lee Tyrell taking the rally stage and declaring that she was the “good witch of the north”.
Ms Tyrell said the Premier should “suck it up buttercup”.
She drew applause from the crowd when committing One Nation, if it won government in Victoria in November, to scrapping the emergency services tax.
And there was louder applause when she spoke about renewable energy projects planned for country Victoria.
Ms Tyrell said that from “day one I have said no” to turbines and other projects.
“We need to protect our prime agricultural land,” she said.
