Tokyo, London and Boort - the 2023 Melbourne Cup in coming to the Loddon.
The visit of one of the greatest sporting trophies in October will be officially announced at a function at Flemington racecourse, the home of the nation's biggest horse race, this afternoon.
Loddon Mayor Dan Straub will be attending the announcement.
The Melbourne Cup trophy will head to Japan at the weekend for one of two overseas legs of the tour and the Australian legs that will include a weekend stop in Boort.
