LODDON Shire Council will spend up to $250,000 in the design and costing phase for stage two of the Wedderburn House Estate in Ridge Street. Council says planning will progress over 12 months. “Once completed, the project will return to council for a decision on moving to delivery,” a spokesperson said.
Rate claim
A BRIDGEWATER property will be purchased by Loddon Shire Council at an independent valuation to recover unpaid rates and charges. Councillors decided last month to used the shire’s land and buildings reserve to make the compulsory purchase.
Museums on list
VICTORIAN Goldfields Heritage Bid wants local museums to self-enter on a new interactive tourist map. Loddon Shire is among 15 councils part of the bid with the Loddon home to museums in towns including Inglewood, Wedderburn, Tarnagulla, Mitiamo, Boort and Pyramid Hill.
