Businesses to Build Skilled Workforce
Local businesses in the Loddon Shire are joining forces in a workshop to unlock solutions for a thriving labour market.
The workshop has been funded by the Australian Government and is a collaboration between the Loddon Shire Council and the Workforce Australia Local Jobs Program.
Businesses are invited to join expert facilitator, Kelly Mason, CEO of Bounce Global who will lead the workshop to identify actions for building and attracting a skilled workforce in the Loddon Shire.
Peak industry bodies, employment service providers and training organisations have provided support for the workshop and will be in attendance to contribute to the conversation.
Local business people are encouraged to register for the free event to have a say and be part of the collaboration.
Job Coordinator, Chris Booth, said the workshop “is an opportunity to strengthen relationships, network and collectively agree on ways to connect talent with business. The focus is on attraction, recruitment, retention and upskilling and designing systems that lead to long term changes that improve functioning of the local labour market.”
The two-hour workshop will be held on the afternoon of Tuesday, 14 October 2025 at the Pyramid Hill Memorial Hall from 3pm to 5pm.
Businesses interested in joining the workshop can contact the organiser, Chris Booth, on 0439750702.

The Loddon Workforce Showcase jobs expo is open to the public from 12:30pm to 2:30pm on Tuesday, 14 October 2025 at the Pyramid Hill Memorial Hall.
Loddon Shire Manager Tourism and Economic Development, David Stretch, said the event “brings businesses with a wide variety of jobs together with training organisations to help people find meaningful work here or a pathway into employment. Twenty exhibitors will showcase the opportunities available in the Loddon Shire and provide connections that will result in a stronger labour market.”
