Loddon River could rise overnight

A minor flood alert is now in place for the Loddon River

The warning has been issued at 3.42pm for Loodon River upstream of Laaneccorie and Loddon River Lanecoorie to Loddon Weir

There is minor flooding on the river at Newstead and possible overnight at Laanecoorie Reservoir overnight.

Rainfall across the Loddon catchment since Sunday morning has resulted in river level rises across the catchment. Laanecoorie Reservior is full and spilling.

The Loddon River at Laanecoorie Reservior is currently below the minor flood level at 0.67 m and rising, below the minor flood level.

The Loddon River at Laanecoorie Reservior may exceed the minor flood level (1.50 m) overnight Monday into Tuesday.
