Boundary submissions
THE review of Victoria’s federal electorate boundaries is underway. Australian Electoral Commission has started received public suggestions on electorate names and boundaries. There are currently 38 federal seats in Victoria, including Mallee, but will be one less at the next election. Initial submissions close this month.
Works nearing end
A $2 million modernisation project at Tarnagulla Primary School is nearing completion. Students last week started using the new basketball court after earlier resuming lessons in the senior classroom. An open day is planned for early next year to showcase the school’s new facilities.
FRRR grants
EAST Loddon Foodshare has been given $15,699 by the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal for equipment and food supplies over the next 12 months. In other latest FRRR grants, Pyramid Hill Neighbourhood House has received $13,900 to develop a communication kit.
Fundraising trivia
EAST Loddon Lions Club raised more than $800 for Australian Lions Childhood Cancer Foundation at a trivia night on Saturday.
