Minor to moderate flooding is continuing in parts of the Loddon River as floodwaters travel downstream through the catchment, according to the Bureau of Meteorology late this morning

The Calder Highway between Charlton and Wycheproof is closed as is Derby-Serpentine Road Calder Highway , Derby Sebastian Road, Bridgewater.

Road closures between Boort ands Charlton and Bears Lagoon and Borung also remain in place.

The BoM says:

Minor flooding is continuing along the Loddon River at downstream Laanecoorie Reservoir and Appin South. Moderate flooding is occurring at downstream Loddon Weir.

In the 24 hours to 11:00 am Wednesday, no significant rainfall has been observed across the Loddon River catchment. Heavy rainfall is forecast from Wednesday evening. Rainfall totals of 60-100 mm are forecast from Wednesday to Friday, with renewed moderate flooding likely from Thursday.

Loddon River upstream of Laanecoorie:

River levels are currently elevated along the Loddon River upstream of Laanecoorie, however remain below the minor flood level.

Loddon River Laanecoorie to Loddon Weir:

Minor flooding is occurring along the Loddon River Laanecoorie to Loddon Weir.

The Loddon River Downstream (D/S) Laanecoorie is currently at 2.79 metres and steady, with minor flooding. The Loddon River Downstream D/S Laanecoorie is expected to remain above the minor flood level (1.50 m) during Wednesday.
