Late-night fatality near Korong Vale

A MAN has died in a car crash late Thursday night.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal crash.

It is understood a car crashed into a tree on Wedderburn-Boort Road, near Corbys Lane, about 4km from Korong Vale, then rolled and caught fire.

Police said: "The vehicle was located by a passer-by just after 11pm. The male driver, who is yet to be formally identified, died at the scene."
