Landcare network tackles cash challenges
LODDON Plains Landcare Network had navigated funding challenges over the last 12 months.

Re-elected president Colleen Condliffe said the network had adpted its business model and reduced reliance on grants by strengthening fee-for-service offerings across the region.
“The broader political and social landscape across the Loddon Plains continues to evolve, with our farming communities facing
challenges including renewable energy proposals, transmission line projects, emergency services
levies, and the mounting pressures of climate change,” she said.
“Despite ongoing funding pressures and a tight budget, we are proud to have retained our dedicated core staff team: Will Sanson (Landcare facilitator) and Andrew Perryman (Landscape project officer).
“The continuity of their roles has provided much-needed stability for the Network, ensuring that projects, partnerships, and community engagement have remained strong throughout the year.
“Their combined skills in facilitation, project management, and on ground delivery are the backbone of the LPLN’s success, enabling us to support local groups,
deliver outcomes for landholders, and represent our community at regional and state levels.”
