Holt’s return for his first game in almost a month saw him spearhead the assault from the first over.
Four dot balls from Boort Yando’s Alex Cockerell were enough to have Holt warmed up to belt a six over mid-on to the town end of Market Square on the next delivery.
Holt would also send a Finn Poxon delivery high over the boundary and nick six fours for the innings.
Going for a third straight boundary, Holt was caught by Harry Weaver for the first of his three dismissals for the afternoon.
The opening partnership of 85 was Wedderburn’s best start of the season and Van De Wetering would stay at the crease to see the Band at 3/121 after caught by Slatter in the field for 51.
It was Van de Wetering’s finest innings of the season.
Slatter ended with three wickets but that was not enough to stop Wedderburn setting a good target of 179 off 35 overs.
Boort Yando was in all sorts of trouble early. Will Holt striking for the wickets of openers Knight and Weaving.
Cockerell put up some resistance as he steered Boort to 5/51 but found partners hard to keep in an innings that saw almost half his score come from boundaries.
Will Holt finished with three wickets as did Sam Carroll who accounted for the tail in his 10 deliveries.
Boort Yando was dismissed in 26 overs.
Cam Hancock’s five wickets has seen Arnold inflict the season’s first defeat on Kingower.
It was a return to old for the 125-year-old Arnold club after a frustrating start to the season, setting an impressive target of 203 for the home side.
Phil Scholes was at the crease for most of the innings until out for 91.
He had an 89-run opening partnership with McCullough while Cam Dale and Ryan Metelmann also reached double figures.
Hancock then made his mark with the ball, wiping out the entire top-order lineup of Kingower.
Only David Rose could withstand the onslaught, making 32 not out.
Other Arnold youngsters Kale Hewett and Flynn Lock also chipped in with wickets.
