Jasmine is now among a handful of former Pyramid Hill P10 College students who have achieved the top academic honour at their VCE school in the last decade.

Her ATAR of 87.3 came from consistent results in specialist mathematics, mathematic methods, chemistry, physics and the the subject studied by all VCE students, English.

Jasmine was also one of the school captains at Boort this year, representing the school at community events and providing leadership among the student cohort.

“I enjoyed VCE a lot as well as the extra responsibilities of being captain,” Jasmine said.

Since completing VCE examinations last month, Jasmine has been working three jobs - in Pyramid Hill, Boort and Elmore - ahead of starting university next year in Canberra where she hopes to major in astrophysics.

Pyramid Hill principal Fiona Moon said: “Jasmine consistently gives 110 per cent to everything she does, and this recognition is a true reflection of her dedication, hardworking nature, strong work ethic, and commitment to excellence.

“From her very first days in prep, Jasmine has been known not only for her strong intellect, but also as one of the kindest and most helpful souls within our school community — always considerate, supportive, and someone who lifts others up through her words and actions.”
