Jacko 4 outguns rivals
WEDDERBURN sits 12 points ahead of its nearest rivals in Division 1 of North Central bowls after a comfortable win over Boort on Saturday.

The overall margin was 21 shots – 80-59 – after Wedderburn won all three rinks.
The four of Rob Guelfo, Alan Holt, Bob Montebello and Alan Jackson (skip) was the biggest winner, outgunning Boort 31-20.
The team of Amy Roberts, Sandra Steel, Bruce Hargreaves and skip Neale Holt won by nine shots, while Laurie Witham’s rink got home by just one shot over Shayne Morris’ side.
The loss has Boort in second last place on the ladder, with just one win from seven matches.
The tables were turned in Division 2 play, with Boort sneaking home by just two shots.
Two wins, by 27-21 and 28-15, were enough to outdo the 17-shot loss by Greg Smith’s rink to that led by Wedderburn’s Lance Standfield.
The rink of Scott Rollinson, Alan Gould, Peter Waters and Joan Earl (skip) won by 13 shots in what proved the decisive battle.
Boort’s win sees them with a 4-3 record and sixth place on the ladder, while Wedderburn’s loss proved costly, with the side now third on the table, five points behind leaders Wycheproof.
