THE mercury will be nudging 40 degrees across the Loddon this week in a sustained burst of summer temperatures.
From Inglewood and Wedderburn in the south to Pyramid Hill in the north, there is little respite from the heat predicted.
Thursday, Friday and Saturday are tipped to reach 38 degrees after sitting in the mid-30s for the start of the week.
Meanwhile, VicSwim lessons are being held at Wedderburn this week and Boort and Inglewood next week.
No details have been released of classes in Pyramid Hill and Mitiamo.
