WEDDERBURN’S chances of a second chance in the 2021 North Central league football season hinge on Saturday’s clash with Birchip Watchem.
The Redbacks have only dropped one game (Sea Lake Nandaly) and drew with Donald in the opening match.
But when they last met the Bulls back in May, the difference was just four points.
The Bulls are sitting two premiership points behind Wedderburn and have the scalp of reigning premiers Sea Lake Nandaly to their credit this season, the only defeat inflicted on the Tigers.
Meanwhile, the Redbacks on Sunday announced Sam Barnes as senior coach for 2022.
Barnes has shared coaching duties with Danny Benaim this season. He has given leadership from the box with Benaim directing on the ground.
Benaim said he would be remaining with the Redbacks.
