Permit granted
A PLANNING permit has been approved by Loddon Shire councillors for laser grading, channel and drain construction on a farm at Yarrawalla. Council placed several conditions on the permit to Don Stewart including that check banks must be constructed no higher than 300mm above natural ground level. Two objections had been received.
Early meeting
TUESDAY’S Loddon Shire Council meeting was a week earlier than normal to avoid a clash with the annual Australia Local Government Association national general assembly in Canberra where council will be represented.
House backing
MUNICIPAL Association of Victoria had backed a campaign by Victoria’s neighbourhood houses for increased government funding, Loddon Shire delegate Gavan Holt told Tuesday’s council meeting.
Weir works
WORKS at the Quambatook Weir to improved water management, helping maintain more consistent water levels, support local aquatic habitats and enhance opportunities for water-based recreation have been completed.
