THE State Government has guanteed ongoing funding for neighbourhood houses.

The Government said its reaffirmed commitment to neighbourhood houses was $19 million in additional funding over three years - as well as permanent ongoing annual funding of $6.6 million - for nearly 400 neighbourhood houses.

Labor’s Ripon candidate Martha Haylett said the commitment “to deliver ongoing funding for neighbourhood houses will mean their amazing staff and volunteers can continue to operate with confidence.”

The Coalition had called for a change, saying fixed-term funding created uncertainty for neighbourhood houses.
