Department of Transport this afternoon told the Loddon Herald that the Loddon Highway south of Serpentine was on track to re-open Friday afternoon.
The highway surface was badly damaged in the October 14-15 floods that impacted the region.
Sections were washed away in the floods.
However, the northern section between Serpentine and Durham Ox was still "being scoped" for repair works, the department said.
