INGLEWOOD and District Health Service’s major community fundraiser is back next month after a two-year COVID hiatus.
The annual golf day will raise funds for new furnishing at the health service.
CEO Dallas Coghill said: “IHDS is so pleased to have the support of the Inglewood Golf club to run this event.
“We have a number of important projects that we are working on to ensure that we continue to provide high services and care to our community,” he said.
“The golf day is one of our major fundraisers and will assist us to purchase new furnishing that will create a welcoming environment for our community, residents and visitors.
“In addition to raising much-needed funds, we will be using the opportunity to raise awareness on key public health issues for our community.”
The golf day will be on September 23, AFL grand final holiday, and Mr Coghill said the organising committee was contacting previous sponsors for their support.
“Inglewood District Health Service has been serving our community since 1863 and provides a comprehensive range of community health, hospital and aged care services to meet the needs of our community.
“IDHS is currently undertaking some exciting projects that will revitalise the facility, providing much-needed upgrades for our current and future service provision.
“As part of this work we want to upgrade the furnishings to provide a comfortable and welcoming environment for patients attending appointments, residents and visitors. The funds raised through the charity golf day will be used exclusively for this purpose,” he said.
Sponsorships and donations to the day are tax deductible.
