Haylett challenger expected soon
THE Liberal Party is expected to name its candidate to challenge sitting MP Martha Haylett for the seat of Ripon in next November’s state election.

Six candidates are expected to front a pre-selection convention in Creswick early next month.
They are former Ballarat mayor Samantha McIntosh, new Central Goldfields mayor Ben Green, Triple-0 call taker Nathan Anderson, farmer Suzie Morro, barrister Serge Petrovich and communications advisor Andrew Kilmartin.
Ms Haylett won Ripon for Labor at the 2022 election with 52.9 per cent of the two party vote.
The Nationals are expected to name their candidate early next year with former Ararat mayor Jo Armstrong tipped to represent the pary.
The election will be on November 28.
