Grand night for young debutantes
TEN debutante sets were presented at the Boort Debutante Ball.

Boort Memorial Hall was filled to capacity and the crowd saw debutantes and their partners in the presentation dances — Emmadale, Tangoette and Evening Three Step.
The official party for the evening included Boort District School principal Todd Woodfine and his wife Nina, with guest speaker Dustin Fletcher delivering an entertaining and inspiring address.
The two-time Essendon premiership player, had his debut game in 1992 against Carlton, the same day he was partnering a debutante.
Boort debutantes were trained by Sherryn and Chris O’Flaherty. Girls and their partners also worked with Sherryn to choreograph a lively “fun dance,” a mash-up that delighted the crowd, before joining their special guests for the traditional Pride of Erin.
