Graffiti puts stamp on sand sign
‘NO ENTRY’ graffiti has been daubed on a sponsorship sign promoting gold and mineral sands exploration company Falcon Metals.
It is at least the second time this year that graffiti had been painted on the sign at Boort Bowling Club.
Falcon Metals wants to continue exploration for mineral sands at Mysia but talks with landowners have been at a stalemate.
The Victorian Mining Warden was brought in to discuss the company’s plans with local farmers but received an instant rebuff to attempts to hold mediation sessions.
Falcon has reported high-grade mineral sands discovery at the Farrelly deposit with positive results from first pass metallurgical test work.
The company told investors in October that it was continuing to assess options for “an amicable solution with the landowners at Farrelly in order to undertake the next phase of low impact exploration.
