WATER Wheel is a family business based in Bridgewater, now with a vineyard area of over 100 hectares.
For almost 50 years, the winery has been producing fine Bendigo region Shiraz.
A new winery was built in 1980 to cope with additional grapes, and this is the building where wine is still made today.
Peter Cumming purchased the winery and vineyards in 1989 and with this change came modern equipment, and grapes from additional vineyards around Bridgewater.
Peter says the secret of good wine is good grapes and he has bottled them into another fine vintage to toast the festive season.
