FARMERS across the Loddon have raised $1800 from promotion of pink grain storage bags in a Bridgewater Farmware fundraiser for the Bridgewater Mother’s Day Classic.
Farmware’s Dave Edwards said pink grain bags were used to store more than 40,000 tonnes of grain across the Loddon this year,
“With over 40,000 tonnes of grain stored in pink grain bags across the Loddon region this past harvest 2020, we had fantastic support from our grain farmers ... with many prepared to give the pink bags a go.
“A 75-metre long hot pink grain bag in your front paddock certainly is a talking point and it’s surprising how many people have been touched in some way by breast cancer. The pink bags fundraiser is a great way to support the Bridgy MDC crew,” said proud sponsor Dave.
