WEDDERBURN Golf Club season opened on Saturday with the first shot being hit by Elaine Canfield to signal play.

Winner Susan Smith 63 net from Graham Smith 64 on countback from Tony Holt.

A good field of 14 players contested opening day.

Meanwhile, Dave Shay ,Peter Ravenhall and Peter Van de Valk had prepared the course well for the Tarnagulla club’s annual Easter Cup. Winners were Tahnee Dowsett Radich, Hannah Tormey and Rowan McNamee from Dave Shay, Jill Sharp and Peter Sanderson. Nearest the pin was Peter Ravenhall and longest drive Rowan McNamee.
