Victorian trains are running to a full heat timetable today as temperatures are predicted to hit the high 30s.
Department of Transport says a full extreme heat timetable will be in place for the Geelong, Warrnambool, Ballarat, Ararat, Maryborough, Bendigo, Swan Hill, Echuca, Seymour, Shepparton and Albury lines.
Those travelling to or from the state's east are reminded of planned works throughout January, resulting in coaches replacing trains between Bairnsdale, Traralgon and Southern Cross.
Passengers are encouraged to check the V/Line website prior to travelling to see if their services are affected, and to allow extra time when travelling.
