Fuel watch alert after diesel haul
POLICE are investigating the theft of diesel from an excavator in the Pyramid Hill district.

Leading Senior Constable Peter Halpin said farmers should be vigilant with their diesel as the price continued to climb.
“Make sure the diesel tanks are secure as possible, don’t leave machinery in paddocks, have diesel powered vehicles secured and gates locked or padlocked if possible,” he said.
Two speeding drivers were stopped by Loddon police last Wednesday.
Serpentine Police detected a 42-year-old Ironbark man travelling south-east on the Loddon Valley Highway, Woodvale, about 6.08am at an alleged speed of 142kmh in a 100kmh zone. The driver was fined $865 and his licence suspended for six months.
Wedderburn police detected a Kerang man, 39, travelling North on the Loddon Valley Highway, Bears Lagoon, at an alleged speed of 136kmh.
The driver was fined $763 and his licence is suspended for six months.
Police Search and Rescue crews removed a submerged vehicle from Laanecoorie Reservoir last Friday.
Loddon police and officers from Dunolly and Maryborough were also part of the operation near Ankers Causeway.
